Posted by T, from Santa Clara, CA on Apr 28, 2016 I had a wonderful experience and I am already thinking I will go back next year. it was all delicious and inexpensive.īeing a female alone on vacation I felt completely safe even while out in the evening in both West Bay and West End (but of course, be a cautious and smart traveler).Īs I said earlier, the people are friendly, the food was fantastic and the scuba diving was exceptional. Get a massage from Pamela, purchase a tour from Eddison, eat the food the vendors are selling: fruit, tamales, empanadas, coconut juice, donuts, etc. Make 'em friends because you will definitely want to go back Roatan. After all, they are the small business owners and entrepreneurs of the island. I say get to know the vendors and they products they are selling. Yes, there are beach vendors and tour sales people out on the beach every day but I say talk to them they are the residents of the island and they are good and friendly people (and they are not overly pushy). This hotel is on a beautiful stretch of beach. A solo female traveler, on my first visit to Roatan for one week April 2016.
